Training and Consulting
Now offering trauma training and consulting for organisations
I have spent 10 years as a trauma trainer for media organisations and groups of journalists. I have designed and delivered multi-day programs and short courses. Content includes understanding trauma, including direct, vicarious, continuous, inter-generational, community, climate. I am interested in moral injury and the role values play in trauma exposure. Longer programs have included peer support training, training for managers and building self-regulation and trauma protection. Each of my trainings are focused on evidence-based knowledge and practical skills.
I understand the trauma exposure of first responders, and those exposed to trauma from violence, disasters and technology-facilitated abuse as a result of their work. My unique perspective combines my lived history, professional qualifications and extensive training experience.
